A class on three popular rifles, the M-1 Garand, the 1903 Springfield, and the AR -15, will be held on Sunday, April 23, at 10:00 am at the SCSA Club house in Chatham. Some of the information to be covered includes firearm safety, disassembly/reassembly, accurizing, cleaning, prepping for shooting, positions, equipment needed for shooting matches, and scopes for some match shooting. Time and weather permitting, some shooting at 200 yards will be done. Handouts will be available. You are requested to bring the rifle you wish to shoot or learn about. Do not bring ammunition. If we shoot, ammo will be provided. If you desire to shoot High Power, or a National Match course, this is a good way to start. If you already shoot but want to improve your shooting, or just want to learn about the above-mentioned rifles you may want to attend. Please call to register for the class.
A count of adults and juniors attending is necessary in order to properly prepare for the class.
